Digital Asset & Printed Folio Licence

Every sanctuary engineered by The Moonlight Garden Design Co. is a unique design artefact. This protocol defines the licence granted in relation to our digital architecture products and the intellectual property status of our printed folio editions.

1. Intellectual Property Ownership

All conceptual designs, 2D plans, 3D Digital Twins, cinematic walkthroughs, renders, technical plans, lighting schematics, planting schedules, sourcing dossiers, printed folio layouts, and related supporting materials created by The Moonlight Garden Design Co. remain the exclusive intellectual property of the studio and its founder, Stuart Savage.

Purchase constitutes the purchase of a licence to use, not a transfer of copyright ownership.

2. Scope of Licence

The Moonlight Garden Design Co. grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for the purchased work to be used for a single-site residential project.

This licence permits:

  • Implementation at one property address
  • Sharing with appointed contractors or specialists for quoting and construction
  • Personal archiving for maintenance, project reference and future upgrades

3. Digital Products

For digital architecture products, the licence applies to:

  • Plans
  • Schematics
  • Renders
  • 3D models
  • Walkthroughs
  • Dossiers
  • Schedules
  • Technical support documents

These assets remain protected intellectual property and may not be commercially reused, resold, sublicensed, or adapted for unrelated projects.

4. Printed Products

For printed folio products, the customer purchases a physical printed expression of the licensed design work.

The printed folio does not transfer copyright ownership and does not grant broader rights than the associated design licence.

4.1 Permitted Printed Use

Printed editions may be:

  • Retained for personal project reference
  • Shown to contractors
  • Archived by the customer
  • Used for single-project coordination

4.2 Restricted Printed Use

Printed editions may not be:

  • Commercially reproduced
  • Scanned and resold
  • Republished as another studio’s work
  • Reused for another property or development template

5. Licence Restrictions

Anti-Redistribution Mandate

Without express written consent, the following are prohibited:

  • Resale or sublicensing of any Moonlight design work
  • Reuse of plans, schematics or folios for a second property
  • Use in developer template systems
  • Alteration and republication while claiming Moonlight affiliation
  • Reuse of lighting logic, 3D massing, or planting structures for unrelated commercial purposes

6. Contractor Use

Contractors may use the purchased materials solely for:

  • Pricing
  • Coordination
  • Construction
  • Single-project implementation

Contractors do not acquire ownership rights in the work and may not reuse Moonlight materials, layout logic, folio pages or technical systems for other clients.

7. Social Sharing

Customers may share walkthroughs, renders, and visual excerpts on personal social media, provided they do not present the work as their own authored design output and, where practical, credit The Moonlight Garden Design Co.

8. Printed and Digital Distinction

Where a customer purchases both a digital product and a printed folio edition, the printed edition is treated as a physical format of the licensed project material, not as a separate transfer of intellectual property.

9. Termination of Licence

The licence continues for the specified property unless materially breached.

The studio reserves the right to terminate or restrict the licence where there is:

  • Unauthorised commercial reuse
  • Redistribution
  • False attribution
  • Misuse of the intellectual property
